Seriously, though, we do have a comparatively well-maintained and supported 'cultural sector'. I don't feel entirely equipped to remark on the pros and cons of this, both in terms of government interventionalism itself and how these facilities are actually used: Chris blogs about this very well, and perhaps he might like to play deus ex machina here.; 26 January 2009 at 22:23
