The crime fiction special didn't omit Conan Doyle, Christie, and Ellroy - it actually gave them their own sections (as it did the late Michael Dibdin, whose Aurelio Zen series I forgot to mention) that I didn't notice this lunchtime. Credit where credit's due, and all that, and I feel particularly doltish as regards Nicholas Blincoe placing And Then There Were None right at the top of his A.C. list. My non-omission related quibbles stand, however.
